The Night the Moon Put on a Costume

That evening, in Pumpkin Hollow, it was Halloween night, the most beautiful night of the year. But something was missing… Can you feel it too? Usually, in the sky, there is a great round golden moon that lights the whole Hollow with its soft glow. And tonight, the sky was pitch black: the moon was not there. On Lantern Square, everyone suddenly felt a little smaller, a little more alone, even Réglisse, who doesn't like the dark one bit. Because the dark, says Réglisse, trembling, is where all the things you can't see are hiding, and the things you can't see are the worst.
