The Great Colour Outage

⏱ 15 min · 👶 from age 5

A bedtime adventure for kids, poetic and dreamy. One morning, the whole kingdom of Tournebois wakes up completely grey. During the night, every single colour has quietly slipped away and disappeared. No more red, no more blue, no more green anywhere to be seen, and the world has turned dull, flat, and just a little bit sad. So Leo and Pistache set off together on a quest to track down the lost colours and bring them safely home again, one by one by one. From the bluest blue of the wide open sky to the reddest red of a single rose in the garden, each colour they manage to recover lights up the world a little more. And along the way, they rediscover just how beautiful everything truly is when it shines with all of its many shades. They search high and low, from the tops of the hills to the petals of the smallest flowers, gathering colour as they go. By the time the very last colour is finally back in its proper place, our two heroes find themselves looking at the whole kingdom with fresh new eyes, noticing small wonders they had always walked straight past before. The world was lovely all along, they had simply forgotten to stop and really look at it. Each shade they return brings the kingdom that little bit more to life, until everything glows once more. This is a gentle adventure about wonder and the everyday beauty of the world all around us, the kind to savour slowly and quietly just before closing your eyes. A soft little nudge to notice the lovely things. It is a soft and dreamy adventure about really seeing the everyday wonders we so often miss. It leaves a child with a calm and happy thought to carry along into sleep: that beauty is everywhere, just waiting to be seen, in the simple colours of an ordinary day. A screen-free audio adventure for children from age 5, lovely at bedtime or in the car. As always with Tilibou, the ending settles softly, without music, so your child can drift off calmly.
